The "QUACK" Litter
Splash (Ch Tosser's Makin Waves CD, AG.N, ADC, CGC) was bred to Cabot (Ch Beinnbhreagh's Jalna's Finish), a gorgeous male with an excellent temperament. He is very sweet and loves everybody! Cabot is on the larger side, with nice white markings and lots of coat. He just started his show career at the age of 2.5 years, and in only 3 weekends of showing he finished his Championship!

The puppies were born November 5 2001. Splash was most considerate to not only whelp on my day off, but to do it during the daytime too!

There was 7 puppies total: 4 boys and 3 girls. The first puppy was a female born at 2:46 pm weighing 10 oz, number two was a female born at 3:34 pm weighing 11 oz, the third was a male born at 3:49 pm weighing 11 oz, fourth was a male born at 4:00 pm weighing 10 oz, fifth was a male born at 4:22 pm weighing 10.5 oz, sixth was a female born at 4:55 pm weighing 12 oz and last one was a male born at 5:13 pm weighing 12 oz.

Most of the pups have white on their faces, all have tail tips and nice white feet & chests. Unfortunately, the first pup born had a cleft palate so I had to put her down : ( so now we have 6.
It was an effortless delivery, Splash shot those pups out of there like toast out of a toaster! LOL I never even once saw any visible straining or contractions, she would just suddenly look at her rear end, and there would be a new puppy sliding out! She managed to surprise me with the first one, I had thought she was still just in the beginning stages of labor but I was very wrong!!!! She had that first one in a 200 Vari Kennel on the bare plastic floor (her idea, not mine!) I had to dismantle the crate to get Splash and puppy moved to a more appropriate location!

The pups were a very healthy bunch that grew like weeds! They all had names by 4 days old, the boys I called Brandy (solid face with a pink nose), Orion (white star & white above nose with a pink nose), Blaze (full blaze with a black nose) and Smudge (white above nose with a black nose). The girls are Star (white star & white above nose with a black nose) and Soda (solid face with a black nose).
Brandy (new name is Cheddar) is now living in Powell River, BC. Orion (Pilot) is in South Lake Tahoe, California, Blaze (Andy) is in Oakland, California, and Smudge (keeping his name) is living here in town in Kelowna, BC. Star (Abby) is living in Spokane WA with her older half-brother Parker. Soda is still living here at Tollwest Kennels.
